Health & Safety Guidelines

ASTA is committed to providing all attendees with a safe experience during our in-person events. This page will be updated frequently and will include information about how we're working to keep you safe. By registering for this event, attendees are deemed to agree to the Terms and Conditions set forth by ASTA.

New Updates (as of August 10, 2021)

Except for eating or drinking, wearing masks is mandatory during indoor ASTA-sponsored events, regardless of vaccination status. This is inclusive of registration, sessions, receptions, tours, and tradeshow (where applicable).

ASTA is monitoring the evolving public health guidance regarding large gathering settings and will follow the recommendation from the Hyatt Regency Chicago and local health department officials in place at the time of the event. Guidelines will be posted here on our website and will be emailed to attendees before the event. We look forward to bringing the industry back together responsibly!

Must-Know Information

Event attendees traveling to Chicago from within the United States and its territories should familiarize themselves and comply with the domestic travel recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which can be accessed here. CDC guidance for those traveling internationally can be found here.

In addition to the foregoing, all attendees should also review the current travel advisory issued by the City of Chicago, as those traveling from certain states may be subject to testing and/or quarantine requirements.

Although obtaining a COVID-19 test prior to the event is not required for unvaccinated persons to attend, we respectfully encourage it in the interest of the health and safety of the attending travel advisors, exhibitors, and our staff.

Anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the three months prior to the event should not attend an ASTA event in-person unless he/she has been cleared for travel by a health care provider.

All attendees will be required to sign a liability waiver during registration or prior to attending.

We strongly urge all unvaccinated attendees to adhere to the recommended safety protocols, including frequent hand washing and maintaining a six-foot distance from other attendees. Feel free to give as many air high-fives and waves as you want!

Posting photos or videos on social media is a great way to show your audience how to safely travel! If you document any part of your journey to, during, and from any of ASTA’s events, please make sure your social media posts reflect your observance of any required health and safety practices.
